Two purification grades

• Molecular Biology grade 

Prepared with Qiagen’s column-based purification kits. The plasmid DNA with molecular biology grade is suitable for most molecular biology applications such as cloning, sequencing, in vitro transcription, restriction analysis, and transfection.

• Endotoxin-free grade

Prepared with Qiagen’s Endo-Free purification kits. The plasmid DNA with endotoxin-free grade typically contains 0.1 EU/ug or less of DNA. It is suitable for endotoxin-critical applications such as transfection of mammalian cells and animal-related experiments.

Additional Service

Trasnformation of plasmid DNA into the desired host cells is available upon request. You can choose our standard competent cells (Max Efficiency® DH5aTM, Invitrogen) or other competent cells of your choice. You will receive a glycerol stock of transformant at the end of the service.

1. Plasmid Mini Prep Service

This service uses Qiagen QIAprep Spin Miniprep kit for isolation of up to 20 µg of molecular biology grade plasmid DNA. Plasmid DNA prepared with this service is recommended for use in routine molecular biology applications such as fluorescent and radioactive sequencing and cloning. Sample can be submitted in the format of bacterial glycerol stock, or fresh culture on agar plate, or plasmid DNA. If plasmid DNA is submitted as the starting material, it is subjected to a transformation before the plasmid preparation can be done. In this case an additional transformation service charge ($80) will be incurred.

Cost: $20 per prep
Delivery time: 2-3 working days

 

2. Plasmid Midi Prep Service

This service uses Qiagen Plasmid Midi kit for isolation of up to 100 µg of transfection grade plasmid DNA. Plasmid DNA prepared with this service is recommended for use in applications such as transfection, cloning, manual or automated sequencing, and in vitro transcription. Sample can be submitted in the format of bacterial glycerol stock, or fresh culture on agar plate, or plasmid DNA. If plasmid DNA is submitted as the starting material, it is subjected to a transformation before the plasmid preparation can be done. In this case an additional transformation service charge ($80) will be incurred.

3. Plasmid Maxi Prep Service

This service uses Qiagen Plasmid Maxi kit for isolation of up to 500 µg of transfection grade plasmid DNA. Plasmid DNA prepared with this service is recommended for use in applications such as transfection, cloning, manual or automated sequencing, and in vitro transcription. Sample can be submitted in the format of bacterial glycerol stock, or fresh culture on agar plate, or plasmid DNA. If plasmid DNA is submitted as the starting material, it is subjected to a transformation before the plasmid preparation can be done. In this case an additional transformation service charge ($80) will be incurred.

4. Plasmid Endofree Maxi Prep Service

This service uses Qiagen Endofree Plasmid Maxi kit for isolation of up to 500 µg of endotoxin free plasmid DNA. This service is recommended for endotoxin-critical applications such as transfection of mammalian cells and animal-related experiments. Plasmid DNA purified by Endofree Maxi prep service typically contains 0.1 EU/ug or less of DNA. Sample can be submitted in the format of bacterial glycerol stock, or fresh culture on agar plate, or plasmid DNA. If plasmid DNA is submitted as the starting material, it is subjected to a transformation before the plasmid preparation can be done. Sample can be submitted in the format of bacterial glycerol stock, or fresh culture on agar plate, or plasmid DNA. If plasmid DNA is submitted as the starting material, it is subjected to a transformation before the plasmid preparation can be done.
